We did it! We survived over a year of pandemic - masks, social distancing, the toilet paper crisis, and LOTS of loss. Some of us are grieving loved ones who passed away. Many of us are still processing racial trauma, the election cycle, and the need for systemic change in our county. This past year was a lot. We are tired. We need deep rest.

But true rest won't come from binging shows, beating that game, or sleeping until noon for 2 months straight. The rest that restores you can only come from Jesus (and a little bit of sleep). Summer doesn't have to be just the (really) hot months where you are a little bored and your spiritual life stalls out. What if you could experience true rest this summer? What if you could start next fall full of energy and life, with a deeper walk with the Lord, and ready to join God's work on your campus?

Since the 9th century, peregrinos (Spanish for "pilgrims") began their journey to Santiago from their front door, eventually converging with one of several ancient routes of the Camino (meaning "the way") in northern Spain.
In 2021, we can be peregrinos too. Centuries later, we can still be spiritually formed by the Camino de Santiago as it speaks to our souls, our bodies, and this cultural moment. In this 3-day retreat, we'll use audio guides to help us meet God through scripture, our five senses, poetry, song, and prayer as we go on walks. We'll let the walks sink in by talking in small groups about what God is showing us and discerning what he is inviting us to do next. We'll connect as a large group for times of worship, games, and other Camino-themed events. And we'll discover that God can turn a weekend retreat into a sacred journey! Choose from two different course offerings in InterVarsity Florida's Summer Institute. In weekly, 2 hours sessions, you will have the opportunity to take a deep dive in your course topic, learning from InterVarsity campus ministers with study and expertise in that field. This ain't no lecture series! Unlike other training experiences, in these courses, you will learn by doing. Who knows, by the end of the course, you could even have your fall semester small group gathered and ready to go!

Starts July 6th Small groups are the core of InterVarsity on campus. It is in small groups that we encounter Jesus deeply, particularly through the Word. It is in small groups that you will make friends that last a lifetime. And it is small groups that shine like lights into the corners of the campus. This 4-week course will give you the essential tools to lead a good, healthy, and missional small group on your campus. Join other new leaders from around Florida to be part of God's movement on campus. This might just change your life! [For new and incoming Small Group Leaders] |
Course 2: Small Group Leaders 201Tuesday Nights, 7-9pm
Starts July 6th You've been leading a small group on your campus for a little while and experienced the ups and downs, particularly during pandemic. We believe that this role - Small Group Leader - is the most significant leadership role you can have on campus. This course will help remind you why you said yes in the first place, as well as taking your SGL skills to the next level. Jesus led a small group that changed the world.
