Is working in campus ministry right for you?
You’ve had a good experience as a student leader with InterVarsity, but could campus ministry be the next step in your career?
The InterVarsity Florida Summer Student Internship gives you a taste of what life on staff could be, whether you know you are called to ministry or are just curious what it could look like. This is a 7-week paid internship where you will join a cohort of other student interns who are similarly discerning a call to ministry. This summer's internship will uniquely give you the experience of learning to follow God's leading in starting new things, particularly on unreached campuses, while also leveling up your leadership in outreach, small group leadership, event planning, and campus strategy.

What is the application process?
All Student Interns are required to apply online by February 1. Once the application is submitted, References will be sent out via email to be completed by February 15. A 60-minute zoom interview with the Internship Director and Internship Program Staff will be scheduled for the week of March 9. Interns who are accepted will be notified by March 16, and have until March 20 to accept or decline the internship.
Once an intern accepts, we will reach out about scheduling training for the fundraising component of the internship in early April. While we will do fundraising as a community toward a communal goal, fundraising will include sending a required number of letters and making a required number of personal invitations for people you know to contribute to InterVarsity for the internship. This work must be completed before moving to Daytona Beach and starting the internship. Don't worry! We will train you, provide coaching, and do this together!

Transportation - Do you need it?
Yes! Interns are responsible for getting themselves to Daytona Beach, and home again following the internship. Additionally, for this year in particular, most interns will need to provide their own transportation while in Daytona.
I'VE HEARD IV STAFF FUNDRAISE; Do I HAVE TO FUNDRAISE FOR THIS INTERNSHIP?
Short answer - yes. This would not be an InterVarsity staff internship without the fundraising, and we want to you to experience what it is really like to be on staff. Starting in April, we will train you in how to develop ministry partners who support this internship experience through their prayers and finances. You will send videos, texts, and make phone calls to share about your InterVarsity experience and invite people to give. But we will also do this as a community and work toward a shared goal for all of the interns. It isn't an easy part of staff work, but God often surprises us as we do MPD work.
